IMPORTANT TRAVEL NOTICE:

As part of new UK regulations, visitors will now need to purchase an electronic travel authorisation (ETA) before their arrival. We recommend completing this process 1-2 weeks before your arrival date in the UK. The ETA lets you travel to the UK for tourism, visiting family, or certain other reasons for up to 6 months and costs £16. You can apply online at https://www.gov.uk/eta/apply or through the UK ETA app by following the steps below:

Step 2: Follow the steps in the app. You’ll need to upload or take photos of the face of the person applying, input your passport number, and have a card handy to pay in order to finalise the process.

Step 3: You’ll get a decision by email from UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), usually within a day. The email will contain your 16 digit ETA reference number.

Contact UKVI if you haven’t had a decision after 3 working days.

Your ETA will be linked to the passport you applied with. You only need to show your passport when you travel to the UK. Please note that if your passport details change after submission of your original application, you will need to apply again.

An ETA lasts for 2 years or until your passport expires, whichever is sooner. You can travel to the UK as many times as you want while you have an ETA.
